POWER CHAPEL INC

Power Chapel Inc is an affiliate of Street Child Rescue Ghana (SCR). The main objective of Power chapel is to collaborate in the concepts of SCR in their programs for the disadvantaged and the homeless through outreaches.

Power Chapel Inc. was founded in 1987 as a small fellowship by its president, Rev. Kenneth Walley. Today it has grown to become a mega church with locations in Dallas, Texas in the U.S.A. as well as New Achimota in Accra, Ghana. The church comprises of eight pastors and over five hundred in active membership.

Over the years, Power Chapel Inc has engaged in various forms of outreaches geared towards the transformation of displaced and needy people in society.

As a home base sponsor for Street Child Rescue's operations in Ghana, they have a combined dynamic weekly outreach program to the homeless orphans as well as young people who have migrated to Accra from the remote villages in search of greener pastures.

Annually, Power Chapel hosts Christmas parties, which are advertised on the media for all street children to have the opportunity to celebrate Christmas. At this party they entertain them with educative drama, poetry, music, feed them and provide clothing as well as gift items.

Street Child Rescue Ghana collaborates in this event with Power Chapel playing host. Their collaboration is yielding a positive impact as testimonies abound of dropouts who have returned home to their parents and back to school. This is also evident in their direct scholarships to orphans, some of whom have now graduated from high school and getting ready for college and so on.
